PRP is a holistic approach to concerns such as changes in skin texture or quality in specific areas such as early hair loss.
PRP uses your own platelets and plasma components to help support changes in skin and hair appearance.
PRP may be considered for those wanting to explore a non-surgical approach to concerns such as skin texture or early hair thinning.
Overview
Platelet-Rich Plasma – PRP is an autologous (your own) blood product that uses your own platelets and plasma growth hormones to naturally produce the support of healthy new cells in your body.
These elements are separated from your blood, and then applied, microneedled or injected into areas of concern to stimulate your body’s natural repair process.
PRP may assist in the appearance of skin texture and hair density in early thinning.

How PRP treatment works
PRP can be used for skin rejuvenation or to treat early hair loss. It works by using the elements of your blood that contain beneficial growth hormones and healing functions.
A small amount of your blood is taken and put into a centrifuge, where it is spun to separate the platelet rich plasma from your other blood components.
Your platelet rich plasma is then micro needled or re-injected into the areas you wish to rejuvenate. The blood component is injected or microneedled into the area of concern under controlled conditions. The intended effect is aesthetic and therefore individual results vary.
Some clients notice changes in skin texture and appearance over time. Outcomes and duration depend on individual factors including skin condition, age and lifestyle. For hair treatments, dormant follicles are reactivated and the repair process helps to improve hair thickness.
Your own platelets and plasma growth hormones are already programmed to repair the body. PRP treatment may be suitable for clients seeking alternative approaches or wish to try a new type of cosmetic treatment.

Your FAQ
You may experience mild to moderate swelling or bruising, however this will clear quickly and will not prevent you from going about your daily activities.
We recommend 3 treatments, spaced 4 weeks apart for skin rejuvenation and 4-6 treatments, spaced 4 weeks apart for hair restoration.
We assess your medical history to determine whether you are suitable for treatment. Because PRP uses your own blood, factors such as smoking, medications, past illness and stress may affect results. If we feel you will not get the best results from this treatment, we will always be upfront with you.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, are taking an anti-coagulation treatment, have an autoimmune condition or have experienced some forms of cancer, this treatment may not be suitable for you.
If you’re interested in PRP for hair loss, please be aware that it is only suitable for early hair loss.
