MINT Face and Neck Lifting Threads are a non-surgical procedure used to reposition and support areas of the face to create a lifting and tightening effect.

The threads act as a scaffold to help reposition soft tissue. The presence of the threads stimulates collagen production in the surrounding area which aids in improved skin firmness and structure.

MINT (Minimally Invasive Nonsurgical Threads) are dissolvable sutures that provide mechanical support to create lift and tightening.

The treatment typically takes 30-60 minutes depending on the number of threads placed. Lifting is visible immediately after treatment and results continue to improve over several months with the stimulation of collagen and elastin produced.

As the threads dissolve, they promote new collagen growth to strengthen the layers of the skin while improving the overall skin complexion and texture.

Overview

MINT Lifting Thread treatment rejuvenates skin appearance by accelerating and improving the integrity of collagen and elastin production.

MINT Lifting Threads are made from a material called PDO (polydioxanone), which has been used safely in surgical procedures for many years. Once placed, the threads provide mechanical support to the tissue. Over time, the body gradually absorbs the threads and produces new collagen in the treated area, which may help improve skin firmness. Collagen and elastin production happens gradually, giving you subtle and natural results.

The suitability of treatment areas depends on individual assessment by a qualified health professional.

For optimal results, we only use medical-grade, TGA-approved MINT Lifting Threads. Results will be apparent straight away and then continue to improve over several months as collagen and elastin production is stimulated. Results can last up to 18 months depending on individual factors such as skin condition, age, and lifestyle. Maintenance treatments may be recommended.

How a MINT Lifting Thread treatment works

As elastin and collagen production slows down, the skin loses its volume and structure. This is what leads to signs of ageing, including fine lines, sagging and crepey skin, and wrinkles.

We treat the area of concern by inserting threads made of polydioxanone (PDO) – a medical-grade material that stimulates collagen and elastin production.

The threads remain in the skin providing immediate mechanical support to the tissue. Over time, the body absorbs the threads and production of new collagen in the treated area is stimulated. The threads are positioned in a way that scaffolds the tissue, creating a gradual thickening and tightening effect. As collagen and elastin starts to reproduce, results continue to improve over several months.

MINT Lifting Threads can be placed in areas such as the mid-face and cheeks, jawline, jowls, neck and eyebrows. The number of threads required will depend on which areas are targeted.
