Restore lost volume and define your features with a dermal filler treatment.

Our Registered Cosmetic Nurse Sally Kinsella creates natural, lasting results using the highest grade of fillers.

Dermal fillers are suitable for a range of concerns, including lips, cheeks, marionette lines, jawline, chin, tear troughs and nasolabial folds.

Overview

As we age, we naturally lose volume, structure and contouring in our face. This leads to a drawn, heavy appearance.

Loss of volume can appear from as early as the twenties and continues as the ageing process affects structural supports, resulting in bone and fat loss. Restoring this loss with dermal fillers can effectively give back what nature takes away.

Dermal fillers shape, hydrate and plump areas of the face for a rejuvenated appearance. As well as restoring volume, dermal fillers also effectively smooth and hydrate the skin.

More than an anti-ageing treatment, dermal fillers can also be used to add symmetry, enhance features such as the lips, and subtly sculpt areas such as the cheeks and chin. Learn more in an initial consultation.

How dermal fillers work

Dermal fillers are strategically placed to add definition to specific areas of the face.

These soft tissue fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring enzyme in the human body that depletes with age. Hyaluronic acid holds up to 1000 times its own weight in water, making it perfect for plumping, as well as hydrating the skin for a youthful appearance.

The choice of dermal filler is determined by the area being enhanced.     For areas such as cheeks (where we are seeking to create lift, replace fat and mimic the bone structure), a higher molecular filler is used. A finer hyaluronic acid filler is used for lips and marionette lines, allowing for higher tissue mobility and movement.

Lip fillers

Hydration, elasticity and volume in the lips naturally diminish over time, which contributes to an aged appearance. Lip enhancement restores shape and fills any vertical lines around the mouth (often known as smoker’s lines).

Cheek fillers

Loss of volume in the cheeks creates a heavy sagging appearance. Cheek fillers help to lift the cheeks as well surrounding areas, including nasolabial folds and corners of the mouth.

Marionette line fillers

Looking sad or older is a common concern for people with marionette lines. Dermal fillers effectively restore the area and allow for natural movement and expression.

Tear trough fillers

Often recognised as dark circles under the eyes, deep tear troughs can create a fatigued and drawn appearance. Dermal fillers replace the lost volume that contributes to this tired look.

Jawline

Ageing causes fat to descend from our cheeks and collect along the jawline, creating a heavy appearance. Dermal fillers can help fill the area in front of the jowl to create a smoother line. Alternatively, a sharper jawline may be achieved by placing the filler along and towards the back of the jaw.

Chin

By enhancing the chin with dermal fillers, the jawline is further defined and the profile of the face is balanced.
